 Its been raining non stop the last couple of days here where we live. I know for sure that in every corner of the city some people won't make it on time to go places, traffic worsen since the floods won't compromise and many unfortunate people might not have appropriate shelter to stay dry. Don't have to go far, from my tiny balcony I can see that when its pouring rain like this some of us are lucky to have a roof on top of our heads, call it a house, a home, a shack ..... with tiles roof, tin roof .... it doesn't really matter, as long as we stay dry and safe.

 | Hi Luki, itu ban2 yg banyak fungsinya biar atap seng- nya gak terbang .. itu rumah kok, dibelakang apartemen kita ada kampung kecil yg kadang2 kebanjiran juga .. kasian banget kalo musim hujan kayak gini. |

 | You got that right! Many of us are lucky to have a roof over our heads and I do think of all them that don't have that. Way too many people are not so lucky and it is terrible that it is like that. It should be every single person's right to have a home!

 | Yes absolutely..stay safe..I know it is the rainy season there and that last year and a few years before there were bad floods. I think your safety is what's important..A house is just a shelter a place to live it's the inhabitants that make it a home. |

 | I'm glad to hear that you are staying dry and Ariel isn't afraid. It's good you have her there with you too, so you aren't alone through this. My sons weren't afraid of storms either thank goodness.
The dog I used to have was terrified of storms and would jump into my lap. She weighed 75 pounds so that was not fun. |

 | Unfortunately... I know all too well what you're talking about from my stays in the Philippines. We share the common thread of floods and similar looking shelter and roofs. It's comforting knowing that we have family and friends who keep our homes loving and warm.
I'm thinking about my friend Lusy now in Jakarta... hopefully she is staying safe.

It's so obvious that there's a HUGE different between the solid strong beautiful orange roof and the one with a bunch of things spreading all over it.
I just keep on hoping that the flood won't become massive (at least not now, please God?). Cos there'll be so many families would be suffering for sure.
Although this post is kinda sad to me, I gotta admit that this is such a GREAT post. Such an eye opener.

 | Makanya aku mau beli rumah di Bogor aja deh kalo punya duit karena bebas banjir...trus berharap kerjanya deket stasiun kereta jadi gak perlu pake angkutan umum yg lain. Jalur kereta yg gak terganggu selama banjir hanya jalur jakarta-bogor. Jalur serpong, tangerang, serta jalur bekasi via pasar senen nggak jalan karena stasiun tanah abang dan kampung bandan relnya terendam. |
