Awww Romey, thank you ....believe it or not .. this ceremony is only once in a life time !!!

In our traditions we have an options to do the celebration for the newborn step by step or all together once they reached the age of telung oton (Balinese for 3 yrs old, in Balinese Pawukon Calendar).
I did the later option since we lived in Jakarta and it doesn't make sense to fly to Bali every 40 days or so. Iin this particular trip to Bali it was 2 days filled with ceremony one after another, I'm happy that we finally get it over and done with .... the next ceremony is to welcoming her teenage years .. its another 10 or 11 years from now .. you will be invited for sure, have you been to Bali before ?

Do you prepare all of that yourself, or is it prepared by the family or is it something that is bought prepared? It looks like a lot of work. Very beautiful display, and great composition in the photograph.

Hello Liz, I bought all of these from a company that cater for all life cycle ritual ceremony in Klungkung (East of Bali), it was run by some ladies .. I was there to meet all of them, amazing workshop .. wonderful talents and energy, everything is so intricate and precise... would love to go there again one day and take more photos ;o)
